Fraudulent Phishing Attempt! - CIACCESS Technical Support - "A new settings file for the username@ciaccess.com mailbox"

Viruses

Please be on the lookout for multiple fraudulent phishing emails that are impersonating CIACCESS Technical Support. These are called phishing emails. The message subject could be labeled as "(A new settings file for the username@ciaccess.com mailbox)" , "(For the owner of the username@ciaccess.com e-mail account)" or similar. Do not click on any links in the email as they execute malicious code (multiple viruses). If you receive this message, delete it and do not respond to it. If you did respond to this party, please contact us and then we can change your password. If you did click any links in the email, we recommend scanning your computer for viruses and spyware. CIACCESS recommends staying up-to-date with your antivirus program and performing Windows Updates. Click read more to see a copy of the email.

Illegitimate Email - Facebook Social Networking Site

We have noticed that a lot of users have been receiving illegitimate emails from the popular social networking website named Facebook.
The phishing attempt claims that before you can start using their new login system, you have to update your account. This actually sends your Facebook username and password to that party. The email is fraudulent and is a phishing attempt. Click read more for details.

These could be landing in your held message area at CIACCESS if you check this area regularly within webmail or simply in your mailbox. The message subject could be labeled as "(***SPAM-BULK*** your mailbox has been deactivated)" or similar. Do not run any email attachments as they would be a virus (in a zip archive). Notice! Illegitimate Email "Update for Microsoft Outlook / Outlook Express"

An illegitimate email has been going around posing as a security update from Microsoft for Microsoft Outlook/Outlook Express. This email is fraudulent and is a phishing attempt. Do not click on any links within the email. Windows updates are always done within Windows via Windows Update and updates from Microsoft are never sent by email. Click read more for details.
