- They are very Good with children and make an Excellent Companion
for the whole family.
- They are Bold, Intelligent, Faithful and Very Trustworthy.
- They will be Active and Playful all their lives.
- they do need a place to run - a fenced back yard would be
the ideal situation.
- They love the Outdoors, but are equally at home in the house.
- This is a dog that should never be chained, or housed permanently
outside - that would destroy the dog's character.
- They love car rides, and sitting on your lap as well as on
the bed.
- They are usually a quiet dog, not yappy, but will certainly
let you know when visitors or strangers come.
- We have found that the males usually seem to be more laid
back compared to the more outgoing females.
- They are classified as a large dog. Males weigh between 65
and 85 pounds. Females weigh 60 to 75 pounds.

- Their coats consist of a longer guard hair and a downy under
coat.
- Proper combing and brushing takes 1 to 1 1/2 hours a week.
If you don't have this amount of time to devote, the best approach
is to have the dog clipped.
