Good morning!

Hope all is well on your end.

First an apology for the extreme tardiness in getting some correspondence
to you. Wanted to provide you with a little background on Charlotte's
first year with us. We have a book of pictures for you but no scanner -
so would like to come out to visit some day soon - so that you can see her in
all her glory!!

We 've been so busy having an absolute ball with Charlotte (now 15 mos).
She became the star of the neighborhood the day we went for her first walk
and the walks are now filled with "Well, hi there Charlotte!" from
everyone. We even have cars pull over to greet her - all of her adoring
fans! She has also become the favourite of her dog walker (he comes to
feed and walk her over the lunch hour when Ken or I can't make it home).

She has made a ton of dog friends at the many parks we visit and even
spent some time traveling - she loves car rides - up to the family cottage north
of Sault Ste. Marie where, again, she is the focus of everyone's
attention.
And she made the trip up for Christmas too - everyone just loves
her...she's absolutely fantastic with children.

As we mentioned when we first visited, both Ken and I have had dogs all
our lives. But we've never had one that was so social - attentive,
affectionate and comical (and, yes, stubborn too!) She shakes a paw, sits,
lays down and even plays dead...but hates to be groomed! She's
successfully completed two levels of obedience and now has the reputation
as the "class clown". She loves to snuggle up on the couch with us, watch
tv and play with her plush toys - but her absolute favourite thing to do
is play fetch with her ball in the back yard (that's when she's not busy
chasing squirrels!)
She loves to be chased and would play 24 hours a day if she could!

Her cuteness has definitely become our weakness.
