With the auction bids and donations we raised (cleared!) over $5000 on Saturday night. Funds that will help us with our humane and community initiatives that include our adoption program, spay/neuter program, cruelty investigations all across Chatham-Kent, humane education and awareness programs, keeping the Animal Shelter open 7 days a week and providing 24 hour emergency response for injured, abused or neglected animals.

Many thanks to all the businesses and organizations that donated products and services and to all the event volunteers for all their help. Special thanks to our media hosts Robyn Brady from CKSY-FM and Mike Regnier from 630CFCO!

With the success of our live silent auction, we are now accepting donations for our "Month of May" online auction. Call the Ontario SPCA Kent Branch at 519-354-1713 for details.

Our 3rd Annual Dinner and Silent Auction on Saturday May 27th was a great success. Thanks so much to all who attended!! What a wonderful evening!

It started out rainy, but the skies cleared and our Annual Walk-a-thon on June 3rd at Mud Creek Park was a wonderful day! We raised over $11,000 which will help us help the animals in our community!

Pet Pics with Santa! On December 4th and 11th at the W.I.S.H. Centre on King St. in Chatham, Egan Animal Hospital sponsored our Pet Pics with Santa. Thank you to all who brought their pets for a picture with Santa!

Our annual tag days called "Hershey's Kisses for Kritters Campaign" days are over and we thank everyone who supported us through this event. We saw many smiling happy faces at our locations all over Chatham-Kent.

Sunday, September 25 was a wonderful day for us at Christ Church at 80 Wellington St West here in Chatham. The Blessing of the Animals took place and we had a great variety of animals present. Each fall we remember St Francis of Assisi and this year the ceremony celebrating the special bond we have with all our furry, feathered and “other” friends will be celebrated next Sunday.

The annual "Bowl-a-thon" took place on October 1st! Pictures coming soon!

OSPCA Yard Sale and BBQ at Trillium Village, Keil Drive, Chatham. Thank you everyone who came out for our yard sale and BBQ on aturday August 13 at Trillium Village's Community Yard Sale. All the proceeds raised stay here in Chatham-Kent to help us care for the over 4000 animals we assist each year.

If you missed the OSPCA World Famous Dog Wash at Chatham South Animal Hospital, 17 Park Ave East, Chatham then you missed a great time! On Saturday August 6 volunteers from the Chatham South Animal Hospital washed dogs. We saw every kind of dog, from Newfies and St. Bernards to Jack Russels and everything in between!

Congratulation to Tina from the Southridge Veterinary Clinic for her BBQ that she ran at Ridgefest 2005 benefiting the OSPCA Kent Branch. We’re also very grateful to the Southridge Veterinary Clinic for their matching corporate donation that doubled the benefit of the BBQ!

We’ve decided that the staff of the Kent Veterinary Hospital are Yard Sale Fanatics. In spite of the showers and impending thunderstorms, they ran an extremely successful Yard Sale and BBQ on Saturday July 16th and made over $500 for the OSPCA. This is even more amazing when you realize that the most
expensive item was $10. In addition to giving up their time on Saturday, they also gave up their Friday evening sorting and pricing all the items for the Yard Sale! We really appreciate all their hard work on our behalf!
