Featured Pets of the Week

November 10 , 2008

My name is Lady. I am a happy-go-lucky 1-2 year old black and white Labrador Retriever X. I have been at the shelter since mid October. I'm such an awesome girl. I love people and I seem to really enjoy the company of other dogs. I already know how to "sit" "shake a paw" and "down" on command. I walk pretty well on a leash, and I'm confident my skills will improve with practice. I really love to play fetch! I'm still a youngster, so I'm continuing to learn proper "doggy etiquette", but it would appear I've had some basic training already. I have been vaccinated and given Revolution for total parasite control. Before I go home with you, I will be tested for heartworm and spayed. I will also come with 6 weeks of complimentary limited free PetSecure insurance. Please contact the Ontario SPCA at 519-354-1713 or ontariospcakent@yahoo.ca for more info. Please visit www.petfinder.com for our adoptable pets.

Jaycee has a lot to tell for such a young cat. She is just about a year old and had already had a litter of kittens. She is a little shy at first, but soon warms up to meeting new people. Her glossy black coat and small size hide a big heart and very affectionate personality. She has been vaccinated and dewormed and will be given Revolution for total parasite control. She will be be spayed and tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS and she comes with 6 weeks of free limited PetSecure Insurance. Please contact the Ontario SPCA at 519-354-1713 or ontariospcakent@yahoo.ca for more info. Please visit www.petfinder.com for our adoptable pets.

My name is Katy and I'm a good dog. I am a 9 month old black, white and tan German Shepherd/Collie mix. I am an incredibly sweet and gentle girl. I just adore attention and I'm very eager to please. I know a few basic commands and I walk pretty darned well on a leash with a chest harness. I'm still a youngster so I need a family that will be devoted to teaching me new things. In return, I promise plenty of wet kisses and furry snuggles. I have been vaccinated and given Revolution for total parasite control. Before I go home with you, I will be tested for heartworm and spayed. I will also come with 6 weeks of limited free Pet Plan insurance. Please contact the Ontario SPCA at 519-354-1713 or ontariospcakent@yahoo.ca for more info. Please visit www.petfinder.com for our adoptable pets.

These lovable little black, brown and white Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd X puppies have been at the shelter since late October. There are 2 males and 1 female and they are approximately 12 weeks old. Having a puppy can be such a joy! If you're up for the demands of housetraining, crate training, chewing and obedience the reward will be a loyal friend for life! These little guys have been vaccinated and given Revolution for total parasite control. Before they go home with you, they will be spayed/neutered. They will also come with 6 weeks of complimentary limited free Pet Plan insurance. Please contact the Ontario SPCA at 519-354-1713 or ontariospcakent@yahoo.ca for more info. Shelley the Tortoiseshell cat will be a fairly small cat. She is about one year old with a lean build and small bone structure. She is very curious but still a little shy when she first gets to meet you. She is very independent and would do well if she is on her own for part of the day. Before going to her forever home, she will be spayed, vaccinated and given Revolution for total parasite control. She will also be tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline AIDS (FIV) and given a cat tag. She will also have access to 6 weeks of complimentary limited Pet Plan Insurance. Please contact the Ontario SPCA at 519-354-1713 or ontariospcakent@yahoo.ca for more info. Please visit www.petfinder.com for our adoptable pets.

Butternut is a very cute 7 week old kitten with a bright orange coat. He is very playful and has lots of kitten energy. He is already very good at climbing his monkey bars and he has a great appetite. He has been vaccinated and received Revolution for total parasite control. If old enough, he will be neutered as part of his adoption. He will also be tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline AIDS (FIV) and given a cat tag. He will also have access to 6 weeks of complimentary limited Pet Plan Insurance. Please contact the Ontario SPCA at 519-354-1713 or ontariospcakent@yahoo.ca for more info. My name is Dini and I've been featured before but the folks at the shelter think I deserve a second look! I am a charming little 1-2 year old white, brown and grey Terrier mix. I have been at the shelter since late August and I am a happy little ball of fluff. I love to be pet and I respond very favourably to positive reinforcement. I love to take walks and I do very nicely with a chest harness. I also love the company of other dogs. A secure, fenced in yard would probably be a good idea as well!!

Hamilton is a pure white bunny rabbit with great social skills. He is learning to use a litter box, loves to be brushed and scratched, really enjoys being able to get our and run around and even thinks he may like dogs too! He is an adult male rabbit in very good health and condition. He does well on plain hay with some pellets, fresh greens and water. Before going to his adoptive home, he will be neutered. I will also come with 6 weeks of limited free Pet Plan insurance. Please contact the Ontario SPCA at 519-354-1713 or ontariospcakent@yahoo.ca for more info. We Need Your Help!
With the large number of kittens we’ve been taking in lately, we are running desperately low on kitten food and cat litter. We use plain, dry kitten food without any added flavours or colours. We only use plain clay cat litter – the non-clumping type as everyone gets a completely clean and disinfected litter box to start the day.
