Special Thanks to Union Gas!

On a bright, and thankfully cool Saturday June 18th, a team of Union Gas – Duke Energy volunteers descended on the Animal Shelter to work their magic. As part of their Global Services Initiative, the OSPCA Kent Animal Shelter was selected as one of their target charities. In addition to a generous grant for supplies and materials, more than 40 employees and their children joined in the efforts to beautify the Shelter. Last year a smaller team painted the outside of the Shelter and organized the Yard Sale shed for us. This year their plan was a lot more ambititious. They painted most of the inside of the Shelter, landscaped and planted around the lawn sign, pruned trees, installed shelving units and ran a very successful Yard and Bake Sale. We’re very grateful to develop this partnership with Union Gas – Duke Energy as a corporate sponsor and hope to continue it for years to come.
