In 1993 and 1994, RBWRP activities focussed on gathering the information necessary to make sound decisions regarding rehabilitation of the Rondeau Bay watershed.
An Action Plan was developed through public consultation to provide a comprehensive and systematic approach to rehabilitation works.
A Geographic Information System was developed to determine the areas in greatest need of rehabilitation, the areas with the greatest potential for rehabilitation and to provide a tool for measuring RBWRP successes.
A Coastal Processes study was undertaken to ensure that rehabilitation projects undertaken within the Bay would be developed within the context of current and expected future physical conditions to ensure their longevity.
Updated wetlands information provides a recent picture of the status of Rondeau Bay's provincially significant wetlands and a baseline of information prior to restoration.
The significant features along the watercourses within the Rondeau Bay watershed were mapped in order to determine the areas in greatest need of rehabilitation work, the areas with the greatest potential for successful rehabilitation and priorities for action.
